Abdulla Ateya Al Messabi

Manager, Refining & Petrochemicals Business Unit, ADNOC

Abdulla N Ateya has been the Refining and Petrochemicals Unit Manager at Downstream Directorate, ADNOC HQ, since April 2017. He is responsible for downstream Refining and Petrochemicals business governance including representing ADNOC interests in ADNOC Refining, Borouge ADP, Borouge Pte and ADNOC Fertilizers. The Refining and Petrochemicals Unit is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operations of assets and their profitable performance, as well as conducting technical studies with the aim of increasing the reliability of the existing assets, or identifying new asset growth opportunities. The unit also oversees the planning and execution of refining and petrochemicals projects and supports the successful phasing of all projects, in line with the approved business plan and budget. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Ateya started his career at Borouge as a Process Engineer. After taking on various managerial positions, he was appointed Vice President and then Senior Vice President of the Borouge 3 Project. Immediately prior to his current position, Ateya was Senior Vice President of the Borouge Technical Group A UAE national, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the UAE University, in Al Ain.

Managing the development of Operation Technology – OT cyber security strategy and framework. Leading the implementation of OT cyber security initiatives including assessments, projects planning, design and implementation to protect critical infrastructure.

Ahmad Abbas is ADNOC LNG Senior Vice President (Technical). Manages Technical Services divisions which include Projects, Major Projects, Engineering and Integrity & Quality. Has 21 years of experience and has managed several Department/Divisions such as product Quality Dept., HSE Division , Integrity/Reliability and Quality division before moving into the Senior Management position.

Her current role focuses on developing and building the pipeline of technical and leadership capability for ADNOC Group. Qualifications include a Bachelor degree from the University of Michigan’s School of Art and Architecture, a Master Certificate in Project Management and a Certificate in Executive Development from the Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.

Maher Al Reyami

Maher Al Reyami has been working with ADNOC Group of companies for the past 26 years, serving and contributing to various disciplines spanning Maintenance, Operations, HSE and Projects. His first key assignment was at the Bu-Hasa Field, where specific facilities were provided with remote monitoring and control. Later moved to the NEB field, which is known to be a SMART field, and was involved with the development, operations and maintenance teams with a system that could be called Semi Artificial Intelligent. At the end of 2017, he was assigned to Al Dhafra Petroleum, to lead the Engineering & Projects related to the development of an unmanned field with advanced monitoring and control capabilities; which could be termed as an Oil & Gas Artificial Intelligence System.

Qasem M. Al Kayoumi

Manager, Technical Center Unit, ADNOC

Qasem Al Kayoumi is the Technical Center Manager in Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s (ADNOC) Upstream Directorate. He is in charge of ADNOC R&D, Subsurface Technology, Upstream Information Management, Operation and Project Excellence. Before this role, he served as an Offshore Manager for ADNOC. He joined ADNOC in 1985 as Petroleum Engineer and since then he has worked in various departments in ADNOC Offshore (previously ADMA & ZADCO) and ADNOC Onshore (previously ADCO). His long career includes Drilling, Reservoir Management, Reservoir Simulation, Field Development, Business Planning, and Field Operations. He is an active member of Society of Petroleum Engineers, serving as Chairman of Abu Dhabi section in 1993-1994 and contributing to various local and regional forums and Applied Technology Workshops. He holds a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southern California, United States.

Saeed K. Al Suwaidi

Senior Vice President (Exploration & Development), ADNOC - Al Yasat Petroleum Operations Co.

Saeed Khalfan Al Suwaidi is the Senior Vice President (Technical) at Al Yasat Petroleum Operations Company Ltd. (ADNOC Group), overseeing the sub-surface and exploration activities of the company. Prior to this, he was the Executive Advisor & Project Manager of the joint venture between ADNOC and China National Petroleum Company (HK) Abu Dhabi, which eventually resulted in the establishment of Al Yasat. He has a B.Sc. Petroleum Engineering from Tulsa University, Oklahoma, USA (1997) and 13 years experience in reservoir engineering within the ADNOC Group. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers since 1992

Worked in oil and gas industry for almost 20 years in ADNOC and ADNOC group companies. Represents ADNOC in technical management to achieve the company mandate & key strategic objectives. Initiate, start up and deliver projects for undeveloped fields/reservoirs.

Tareq Sahoo Al Suwaidi

Senior Vice President Operations, ADNOC Sour Gas

Tareq Sahoo Al Suwaidi is the Senior Vice President Operations in ADNOC Sour Gas. He obtained his BS in Chemical Engineering from University of Southern California, USA in 1987. He has over 30 years’ experience in ADNOC of which more than 20 years in senior management roles. He is a member of various ADNOC Group Leadership Committees. He has extensive knowledge in Gas Operations across the value chain; “Green Field” Project delivery and “Brown Field” Facilities management. Mr. Al Suwaidi is responsible for the Safe Operation of more than 1 BSCFD ultra-sour gas facility which includes the world’s largest Sulphur Recovery Units and to ensure reliable supply of gas to meet UAE Energy demand and to optimize Plant efficiencies and cost.
